Surgery: The surgery

These prescriptions may also require you to visit your surgeon or primary physician after surgery. It is not advisable to stop any pain medication before this time, though.
You should also still avoid exposure to open flames as well as smoking until advised by your doctor.
Your eyelids are very delicate during the healing process and even small changes in temperature can cause severe discomfort. Protection from sunlight and drying out with cold compresses are recommended to help ease these symptoms.
Contact lenses are not a good idea at this stage due to the risk of infection.
